Hi, my name is Richard Hart.

In a previous life, not to long ago… I built non-violent 2D and 3D video games for a company I founded called Ethical Entertainment. While technology can be engaging, it can also become all consuming, so I’m taking a break from running companies for a while and focusing on freelancing and spending more quality time with my family.

I am interested in working on Apps and interactive content/games for the iPhone and iPad (raw iPhone SDK and Cocos2D), especially if the revolve around kids, the environment, education, health and social change.

In addition to having almost 2 years of iPhone development experience now, I also have over a decade of teaching experience and currently run the iPhone and iPad courses at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

I take on about 2-3 projects a year and want to work with people and organizations who have solid core values that are seeking to have a positive social impact.

Whether it’s helping to design games or simulations, building mobile apps or designing mobile curriculum and tutorials I may be able to help, so drop me a line and let’s chat. (dadgoesgreen[at]gmail.com) or call me on my cell at [604] 329-2850.
